Dietary Fibers & Cardiovascular Diseases

A high level of the adult population in the Western world suffers from high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol levels. These conditions are the most important factor for stokes and cardiac arrests, and are very often developed as a consequence of overweight and obesity.

It is generally recognized that viscous soluble dietary fibers can lower blood cholesterol levels, and thereby also reducing the risk of developing other cardiovascular diseases. A high intake of dietary fibers is also believed to have a direct relationship to blood pressure reduction.
